Working in Mount Pleasant
Mount Pleasant is a small town with a long industrial history and a correspondingly older housing stock, much of it predating the era of standardised fixture sizes. Bathrooms in houses of this age are frequently small by modern standards, which is exactly the situation where removing a tub in favour of a walk-in shower buys back usable room rather than merely updating the look.
Permits and jurisdiction
Mount Pleasant is incorporated with its own permitting, and surrounding addresses fall to Maury County. At close to 70 miles out we are candid that this is a planned trip rather than a drop-in, and we schedule accordingly.
Requirements change, so treat this as orientation rather than a substitute for confirming with the local codes department for your specific parcel.
