- What happens if there is damage behind the wall? Ask each contractor to say it out loud. The answer tells you how the project will go.

Why won't contractors quote a price over the phone?

What should a bathroom quote include?
Ask specifically whether it covers demolition and disposal of the old fixtures, what happens to the price if damage is found once the wall is open, which materials are specified by name rather than by allowance, and what is covered by warranty and for how long. A quote that is vague on those four points is not really a quote.
